VinFast VF6 2025 Launched in India: Affordable ₹16.49 Lakh Electric SUV with 59.6 kWh Battery, 460 km Range, ADAS & Premium Tech

Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of two electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7. The highlight of this debut is the VinFast VF6 2025, positioned as a direct rival to popular ICE-powered SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Tata Curvv, and MG Astor, but with a compelling EV advantage.

Pricing and Variants

The VinFast VF6 2025 is priced from ₹16.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level trim, with the top-end variant going up to ₹17.49 lakh. A special top-spec version, the Wind Infinity, is priced higher, offering premium additions such as a fixed panoramic sunroof.

  • Battery: 59.6 kWh
  • Claimed Range (ARAI-certified): Up to 460 km
  • Variants: Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity

Notably, the VF6 offers a larger battery pack compared to several rivals in its segment at a similar price point.

Performance and Charging

The VinFast VF6 2025 is offered in two power configurations:

  • Lower Variant: 174 hp and 250 Nm torque
  • Top Variant: 201 hp and 310 Nm torque

Charging capabilities are competitive for its class, with the SUV able to charge from 10% to 70% in just 24 minutes using a fast charger.

Key Features and Technology

The VinFast VF6 2025 comes equipped with ADAS Level 2 features, supported by front radar and camera-based systems. Safety and technology offerings include:

  • Lane assist and emergency braking
  • Projector LED headlamps, LED DRLs with VinFast logo signature
  • Front and rear parking sensors, towing hook
  • 360-degree surround camera
  • 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with responsive interface
  • HUD-based instrument cluster
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel (reach adjustable)
  • Electrically adjustable driver’s seat (8-way)
  • Four power windows with auto up/down function

Design and Exterior Highlights

The VinFast VF6 2025 adopts a modern crossover SUV design language:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels (OEM-supplied)
  • 190 mm ground clearance
  • Chrome accents around window frames
  • Metal roof rails and shark-fin antenna
  • LED taillights mirroring the front DRL design
  • 423-litre boot space (comparable to Hyundai Creta’s 433 litres)

However, the model misses features like a powered tailgate and partial tray in the boot, which may matter to some buyers.

Interior and Comfort of VinFast VF6 2025

Inside, the VF6 offers a choice of brown or black interiors depending on the variant. While fit and finish are commendable, there is extensive use of hard plastics. The panoramic sunroof on higher trims is non-opening, serving more as a glass roof.

  • Rear seat space is adequate but slightly tight for three adults, particularly in shoulder room.
  • Seats offer good cushioning and visibility, though taller passengers may find it snug.
  • Frameless IRVM, UV-cut glass, and leather touches enhance premium appeal.

Warranty and After-Sales Support

VinFast is offering an aggressive ownership package to build trust among Indian customers:

  • 10-year warranty on the battery
  • 3 years of free maintenance
  • 3 years of free charging support

This positions the VF6 as one of the most value-driven EVs in its class.

Outlook: A Strong EV Contender in the Mid-SUV Space

The VinFast VF6 2025 brings a unique proposition to India’s electric SUV market. With its competitive pricing, 59.6 kWh battery, 460 km claimed range, and advanced ADAS features, it challenges established petrol and diesel SUVs while undercutting many EV rivals on battery capacity.

If VinFast delivers on its range claims and after-sales promises, the VF6 could emerge as a disruptive force in India’s growing EV market.
